BENEFITS AND MAINTENANCE / JIKA FURNITURE /

Ensure good air flow or ventilation in the

bathroom.

The bathroom furniture you have bought is made

of materials suitable for use in bathrooms, but it is

still necessary to observe certain usage and

maintenance guidelines (see below).

Bathroom furniture must not be exposed for

a long time to the effects of standing water or

extremely high air humidity. If there is a large

increase in humidity in the bathroom, such as

while bathing, ventilate the space well.

Bathroom furniture must not be exposed

repeatedly to spraying water, for example, from

a washbasin or water from the shower when

furniture is place next to a bathtub or shower

enclosure without a screen.

Also pay attention to the tightness of the

connection of the mounted siphon – water

flowing from a leaky siphon can damage the

inside of a drawer or cabinet.

When cleaning furniture, use only non-abrasive

cleaning agents such as a soft cloth and soapy

water. After cleaning, the furniture should be

dried.

Do not use chemicals to clean the furniture.

With long-term exposure to direct sunlight, the

colour tone of furniture made of natural materials

(wood, veneer) can change (oxidize). Therefore, do

not place the furniture in contact with sunlight for

a long time, and take care that objects placed on

surfaces exposed to direct sunlight are not always in

the same location.

For cleaning mirrors, use only a fine cloth soaked

in soapy water and well wrung out. The mirror

must then be wiped dry. Under no circumstances

should window cleaner be used for cleaning

mirrors, because it could cause corrosion of the

silver layer at the edges of the mirror.

If the furniture becomes dirty, immediately

clean the surface.
