TECHNOLOGY / JIKA FURNITURE /

JIKA furniture is characterised by its high resistance to moisture and mechanical damage. Only the top quality adhesives are

used for production. ABS edges, either 2.0 or 0.8 mm thick, are made of a material that is highly resistant to mechanical damage.

The maximum loading capacity of cabinet hinges is 150 kg. Made by the renowned Hettich brand, hinges are designed for an

incredible 150,000 cycles; door and drawer soft-close mechanisms are of the same quality. This material provides increased

bending strength and is also stronger at screw mounting points thanks to the higher density of chipboard (supplied by European

leader Egger) used in cabinet body production. In addition, this material produces negligible formaldehyde emissions: E1–

E1/2 emission class. Chipboard surfaces are covered by a laminated sheet of 100 g/m

2

. MDF material coated with high-gloss

five-layer PUR paint is employed for drawer faces painted on five sides. Thanks to UV filters used in production, lacquered

surfaces do not age or yellow. Glass door inserts are made of hardened security glass; baked decor technology is employed to

manufacture decorated doors from the Cubito set. Bathroom comply with strict European standards; as

they meet the IP44 protection standard, these lights can be placed in “Zone 2”, i.e. 180 cm from the floor.
