EN regions of Colombia where all manner of won-

derful, traditional crafts are still practiced but in

danger of being forgotten.

Together they collect ideas and inspiration and they

add their own magic to what they find in the way of

modern designs to create furniture and objects, tex-

tiles and rugs with these craftsmen that are at home

in a wider world.

In the remote areas where cinemas were rarely

found, travelling circuses have a long tradition and

have given flight to the dreams of generations. Every

child there knows what the stools look like on which

the elephant rests his foot. Surprisingly delicate look-

ing but obviously very robust!

These stools are the inspiration at the core of the

»circo« collection which spans from luxurious lounge

chairs made with woven leather, to flower over-pots

in all manner of sizes.

DE Ana Maria Calderón Kayser konnte sich schon

als Kind auf Reisen durch ihr Heimatland der „magi-

schen Realität“ Kolumbiens nicht entziehen, und auch

als Erwachsene findet sie dort noch heute die Quelle

ihrer Inspiration. Mittlerweile in Deutschland lebend,

nimmt sie international bekannte Designer mit in die

entlegensten Regionen Kolumbiens, wo wunderbare

alte Handwerkstraditionen noch lebendig sind,

jedoch in Vergessenheit zu geraten drohen.

Gemeinsam sammeln sie Ideen, lassen sich inspirie-

ren und ergänzen das Gefundene mit ihrer eigenen

Magie nach Art des modernen Designs. So entste-

hen Möbel und Objekte, Textilien und Teppiche aus

einer Handwerkskunst, die lokal verwurzelt und doch

in der Welt zu Hause ist.

Kinos gibt es nur wenige in den entlegenen Regio-

nen Kolumbiens, Nomaden-Zirkusse hingegen haben

als Traumfabrik für ganze Generationen eine lange

Tradition. Jedes Kind kennt die Podeste der Zirkus-

elefanten, die filigran anmuten und doch unerwartet

robust sind.

So fanden wir die Inspiration für unsere »circo«

Kollektion, deren Untergestell an die Zirkuspodes-

te erinnert. Die Serie reicht von luxuriösen Lounge

Sesseln aus Ledergeflecht bis hin zu Pflanzen-

Übertöpfen in allen Größen.
