information for safety during the installation, use and maintenance phases.

This use and installation manual contains technical information relating to the installation of Tekno

Point Italia products. With regard to other issues related to the installation of the products themselve

(for example: safety in the workplace, environmental protection, accident prevention), it is necessary t

comply with the provisions of current legislation and the principles of good practice

In accordance with current legislation, the systems must be designed by qualified professionals, within th

dimensional limits established by law

Installation and maintenance must be carried out in compliance with current regulations, according to th

manufacturer’s instructions and by authorized and professionally qualified personnel, meaning those with

specific technical expertise in the systems sector, as required by law

1.1 WARNINGS ON REFRIGERANT

R290 (propane) gas is highly efficient and environmentally friendly, but its flammable nature require

special attention to ensure safety during installation, use and maintenance. Keep away flames, sparks an

equipment that can generate heat or electrical discharges. Use only components and tools certified for us

with R290. Follow local regulations for the disposal of gas and systems containing R290.

1.2 GENERAL WARNING

CAUTION! The appliance must only be used for the purpose for which it was expressly

intended. Any other use is to be considered improper and therefore potentially dangerous

• Do not use means to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean other than those recommended by the

manufacturer.

• In the event of an anomaly, breakdown or imperfect operation, the appliance must be deactivated and an

authorised company must be called (for example the Authorised Technical Service Centre, which has spe-

fi c technical training and original spare parts). Therefore, refrain from any intervention or attempt at repair.

• Maintenance must be carried out by qualifi ed technical personnel such as, for example, the Authorized Techni

cal Service Centre which in this sense is a guarantee of quali

fi cation and professionalism.

• The appliance must be stored in such a way as to avoid mechanical damage, in a well-ventilated environment

and without continuously operating ignition sources (for example: open fl ames, a functioning gas appliance or

a functioning electric stove).

• Do not pierce or expose the units to heat sources

• The unit must be installed, used and stored in a room with a surface area greater than that indicated in the

chapter dedicated to the installation site

• The material must be stored in dry environments and protected from the elements.

• All Tekno Point Italia products are protected with suitable transport packaging that must be disposed of in

compliance with the regulations in force in the place of installation.

• Keep in mind that refrigerants are odourless.
