POSA IN DOCCE O AREE ‘UMIDE’

La durabilità nel tempo della piastrellatura in docce o zone ‘umide’

come le aree wellness rende necessario sempre prevedere

una completa protezione dei supporti tramite membrane

impermeabilizzanti.

La scelta di tutto il sistema di posa deve essere fatta in funzione dei

supporti presenti (muratura, cartongesso, etc ... ) ed in modo tale

che i materiali siano in grado di resistere alle sollecitazioni previste.

In accordo con la norma UNI EN 12004, la posa in questi ambienti deve

essere realizzata utilizzando adesivi che abbiano queste caratteristiche:

• Classe C2, per garantire elevati valori di adesione anche su

supporti non assorbenti ed anche in presenza continua di acqua;

• Deformabili di Classe S1 o S2 in modo da assecondare le possibili

deformazioni indotte dalle sollecitazioni meccaniche o termiche a

cui questi ambienti possono essere soggetti.

In questi ambienti si deve prestare particolare attenzione nella scelta

della fuga e dei giunti.

I prodotti per la stuccatura devono essere scelti in funzione delle sostanze

con le quali le fughe possono venire in contatto e della tipologia e

frequenza delle operazioni di pulizia previsti si deve prevedere l’uso di

sigillanti con ridotto assorbimento d’acqua (Classe 2W o 2WA).

Per i prodotti con finitura superficiale ‘craquelè’, al fine di prevenire

qualunque tipo di problema connesso alla natura dello smalto, le

piastrelle devono essere trattate come descritto qui di seguito:

1. posare le piastrelle;

2. utilizzare esclusivamente un sigillante cementizio bianco;

3. pulire accuratamente le piastrelle con un prodotto non acido (ad

esempio Fila Cleaner);

4. una volta che le piastrelle sono pulite ed asciutte stendere su di

esse uno strato uniforme di prodotto protettivo (ad esempio Fila

MP90).

LAYING TILES IN SHOWERS AND DAMP PLACES

The durability of tiling in showers or other damp places such as

wellness areas always requires complete protection of substrates

with a waterproofing layer.

The entire laying system must be chosen on the basis of the

substrates present (masonry, plasterboard, etc... ) and in a way that

allows the materials to withstand the stresses envisaged.

In accordance with standard UNI EN 12004, installation in

these spaces must make use of adhesives with the following

features:

• Class C2, to ensure good adhesion even on non-absorbent

substrates and even in the continuous presence of water;

• Deformability class S1 or S2, to respond to possible de formation

induced by the mechanical or thermal stress to which such spaces

may be subject.

In spaces of this kind, special care must be taken in the choice of

grout and joints.

Grouting products must be chosen on the basis of the substances

the grout will be in contact with and the type and frequency of

cleaning operations that will be performed, using sealants with

reduced water absorption (Class 2W or 2WA).

For products with a ‘craquelé’ surface finish, to prevent problems of

any kind connected with the type of glaze, the tiles must be treated

as described below:

1. lay the tiles;

2. use white cementitious sealant only;

3. clean the tiles thoroughly using a non-acidic product (such as Fila

Cleaner);

4. when the tiles are clean and dry, apply a uniform layer of

protective product (such as Fila MP90).
