CHEMICAL FIXING APPLICATION METHOD

Chemical fixing involves applying adhesive and double-sided

self-adhesive tape directly to the vertical profiles. For good

adhesion, the Neolith panels and vertical pro

files must be

pre-treated. The general steps are described below:

1. PRE-TREAT THE PROFILES. The profiles must be pre-treated

after being fixed and must be clean and dry as well as

free of any grease, dust or any other substance that could

prevent the adherence of the products to them.

Primer in a continuous layer must be applied to aluminum

profiles by firmly rubbing and allowing to dry for at least

the minimum time indicated on the product technical data

sheet.

2. APPLY DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE TAPE. Once the pre-

treatment on the panel has dried, double-sided adhesive

tape must be affixed to the profiles vertically and

continuously.

This tape is used to initially secure the cladding panels until

the adhesive is fully cured (or polymerized) and to ensure

the correct dimensions of the adhesive bead.

3. PRE-TREAT THE PANELS. A cleaner or activator must be

applied to at least the part of the panels that will be in

contact with the adhesive (minimum width of 10-15 cm)

following the manufacturer’s recommendations and

allowing to dry for at least the minimum time indicated on

the product technical data sheet.

4. ADD THE ADHESIVE. The adhesive shall only be applied

vertically and continuously to form a triangular bead 9 mm

wide and high using the special V-shaped nozzle.

Note that the adhesive must always be applied at between

+5 oC (41oF) and +35 oC (95 oF) in temperature.

Two beads of elastic adhesive are generally applied along

the length of vertical “T” profiles and a single bead to “L”

profiles.

5. POSITION THE PANEL. After removing the protective paper

from the double-sided adhesive tape, position the Neolith

panel within 10 minutes of applying the adhesive. Once the

panel is positioned correctly, press firmly and rub to create

contact with the tape. Once the panel is in contact with the

tape, no further corrections will be possible.

Il fissaggio chimico consiste nell'applicazione diretta sui profili

verticali di collante e nastro biadesivo. Per una buona adesione

è imprescindibile realizzare pre-trattamenti sia sui pannelli

Neolith, sia sui profili verticali. Si descrivono successivamente i

passaggi generali da realizzare:

1. PRE-TRATTAMENTO DEI PROFILI. I profili dovranno essere

pretrattati dopo il fissaggio e dovranno essere puliti, asciutti

e privi di grasso, polvere o qualsiasi altra sostanza che

impedisca l'aderenza dei prodotti su di essi.

Per i profili di alluminio si applicherà il primer che formerà

uno strato continuo; si strofina energicamente e si lascia

asciugare per il tempo minimo indicato sulla scheda tecnica

del prodotto.

2. APPLICAZIONE DEL NASTRO BIADESIVO. Dopo che il pre-

trattamento sul profilo si è asciugato, si colloca il nastro

biadesivo sui profili in senso verticale e continuo.

Questo nastro si utilizza per il sostegno iniziale dei pannelli

di rivestimento fino alla posa completa (o polimerizzazione)

del collante, in modo da garantire le dimensioni corrette del

cordone di collante.

3. PRE-TRATTAMENTO DEI PANNELLI. Si applicherà un

detergente o attivatore come minimo nella parte dei pannelli

che resteranno in contatto con l'adesivo (larghezza minima

10-15 cm) seguendo le raccomandazioni del fabbricante

e lasciando asciugare per il tempo minimo indicato sulla

scheda tecnica del prodotto.

4. COLLOCAZIONE DEL COLLANTE. Il collante verrà applicato

solo in direzione verticale e continua in modo da formare un

cordone triangolare utilizzando lo speciale ugello a forma di V.

È opportuno segnalare che la posa del collante va fatta

sempre tra i +5 oC (41 oF) e i +35 oC (95 oF) di temperatura.

In genere si applicano due cordoni di collante elastico lungo il

profilo verticale a "T" e un unico cordone sul profilo a "L".

5 COLLOCAZIONE DEL PANNELLO. Il pannello di Neolith

viene collocato dopo la rimozione della carta di protezione

del nastro biadesivo ed entro i 10 minuti successivi alla

collocazione del collante. Dopo la corretta collocazione del

pannello, premere saldamente e strofinare in modo che

entri in contatto con il nastro. Dopo che il pannello è entrato

in contatto con il nastro, non sarà più possibile realizzare

correzioni.
