This test has been

developed to simulate the

action of a slipping foot; the

method uses a swinging

arm which contacts a

set area of flooring in a

controlled manner, certain

temperature and humidity

values, via a rubber slider.

The flooring slip resistance

is determined by the over-

swing of the pendulum and

is directly affected by the

surface profile/roughness

of the floor.

This method of slip resis-

tance testing involves a

metallic structure with the

tiles fixed where the tester

walks backwards whilst the

platform is inclined 1o per

second till the test subject

slips. Based on the angle

of inclination of the slip,

the test is repeated several

times close to that critical

angle and the slipperiness

is given a classification.

operador deberá caminar

CONSEJOS PARA REJUNTAR EN PORCELANICO PRECORTE

Es particularmente importante notar aquí que el material no debe ser rejuntado con cemento ya que, debido a la sección transversal de la junta (ancho de la junta y profundidad de la junta), un

rejuntado con cemento resultaría en una adherencia insuficiente. Nuestra recomendación para rejuntar piezas con precorte es utilizar una junta basada en resina epoxidicas en base agua, espe-

cialmente para su colocación en zonas húmedas.

Recomendamos estas dos opciones:

1) Rejunte Fugalite de Kerakoll. Esta opción es más complicada de trabajar pero el resultado es una junta más resistente como antimanchas, más impermeable y más bacteriostática, además de

aportar una muy buena adherencia. Indicaciones: Hay que tener cuidado con el secado del rejunte y limpiarlo con abundante agua una vez esté seco. En caso de quedar restos, utilizar limpiador

Fuga Shock-Eco.

2) Rejunte Fugabella Color de Kerakoll (resina y cemento). Esta opción es más práctica y manejable pero solo recomendable en zonas secas, nunca en zonas húmedas.

Recomendaciones de rejunte:

1. Limpiar bien y dejar secar el fresado o precorte antes de aplicar el rejunte ya que puede que el material de rejunte no se adhiera bien si la junta está muy sucia de polvo. El hueco del precorte

deberá estar completamente seco antes de aplicar el rejunte.

2. Aplicación de la mezcla de agua con rejunte, la cual no deberá ser demasiado líquida en caso de realizarse la mezcla en obra, para que el rejunte se adhiera bien en la preincisión y la junta. El

rejunte debe quedar bien compactado, no deberá quedar demasiado liquido.

3. Dejar secar bastante el rejunte en la preincisión para que quede bien seco y proceder, después, a limpiar con agua y una esponja de limpieza.

4. En caso de quedar algún resto de la junta en la superficie de la pieza, usar un limpiajuntas para dejar completamente limpias las baldosas de porcelanico.

Recomendamos seguir las instrucciones del producto a utilizar. Como nota, la forma de aplicar la junta Fugabella es muy similar a la forma de colocar Fugalite pero los tiempos de secado de

Fugalite son más cortos.

Es muy importante dejar secar el producto unas horas después de haber aplicado el material de rejunte, pudiéndose limpiar una esponja suave y agua, sin presionar, en caso de querer retirar

todavía rejunte. La resistencia final del rejunte se alcanza en 24 horas o incluso 48 horas en función de las condiciones ambientales.

TIPS FOR GROUTING PRE-SCORED PORCELAIN

It is particularly important to note that the material should not be grouted as, due to the cross section of the joint (joint width and joint depth), grouting with cement would result in insufficient adhe-

sion. Our recommendation for grouting pre-scored pieces is to use a water-based epoxy resin-based joint, especially for placement in humid areas.

We recommend these two options:

1) Kerakoll Fugalite grout. This option is more complicated to work with, but the result is a joint that is more resistant to stains, more waterproof and more bacteriostatic, as well as providing very

good adhesion. Directions: Be careful when drying the grout and clean with plenty of water once it is dry. In case of residues, use Fuga Shock-Eco cleaner.

2) Kerakoll Fugabella Color grout (resin and cement). This option is more practical and manageable but only recommended in dry areas, never in wet areas.

Grouting recommendations:

1. Clean well and allow the gaps within the scoring to dry before applying the grout, as the grout material may not adhere well if the joint is heavily soiled with dust or wet. The scoring must be

completely dry before applying the grout.

2. Application of the water mixture with grout, which should not be too liquid in case of mixing on site, so that the grout adheres well in the pre-incision and joint. The grout should be well compac-

ted, it should not be too liquid.

3. Allow the grout to dry sufficiently in the pre-incision so that it is completely dry and then proceed to clean with water and a cleaning sponge.

4. If any remains of the joint remain on the surface of the piece, use a joint cleaner to leave the porcelain tiles completely clean.

We recommend following the instructions of the product to be used. As a note, the way to apply the Fugabella joint is very similar to the way to place Fugalite but the drying times of Fugalite are

shorter.

It is very important to let the product dry for a few hours after applying the grout material, and you can clean it with a soft sponge and water, without pressing, if you still want to remove the grout.

The final strength of the grout is reached in 24 hours or even 48 hours depending on the environmental conditions.
