Yellow, spiral-reinforced, self-extinguishing flexible sheath with smooth internal surface for protecting
gas pipes, as laid down in UNI-CIG 7129-08 and UNI-CIG 7131. PVC sheath. Crush-resistance: To
320 N. Temperature-resistance: -10 to 70°C. Self-extinguishing to UL 94 class VO. Minimum bend
radius less than 3 times the diameter (empty sheath). Absolute electrical insulation against stray
currents. Absorbs the thermal expansion of gas supply pipes thereby preventing the formation of
cracks in walls and floors.

Wherever it is necessary to insulate metal pipes against stray currents.
Italian standards UNI 7129-08 and UNI 7131-99 governing domestic gas supply systems supplied by the distribution network (UNI 7129) or with
LPG (UNI 7131) require gas supply pipes to be inserted in a protective sheath. UNI 7129-08, 3.3.1.4.... omissis .... The internal diameter of the
aforementioned sheaths must be at least 10 mm larger than the external diameter of the pipe.
