Il problema riscontrato

I termosifoni non si mostrano con uguale temperatura nei singoli

vani. Alcuni appaiono molto caldi, altri sembrano appena tiepidi.

Da che cosa può dipendere.

Può dipendere dalla mancata regolarizzazione dei detentori.

Una sorta di rubinetti, posti in ogni termosifone sull’ uscita dello

stesso verso la caldaia. Tali rubinetti sono coperti da un tappo

che si svita con le mani. Appena sotto appare una vite a taglio

del tutto simile a quella delle valvole di ingresso agli stessi

termosifoni.

Quando l’impianto non è bene calibrato, nel senso che le

tubazioni hanno diametri non adatti alle distanze dalla caldaia

oppure, per usare i tubi in commercio, sono quasi sempre uguali

in ogni dove, allora bisogna adattare il detentore moderando il

flusso come occorre nel singolo ambiente. In pratica la pompa

della caldaia manda l’acqua con la medesima pressione all’uscita

verso l’impianto. Ma i caloriferi più distanti ricevono una

pressione inferiore e anche una quantità d’acqua calda inferiore

divenendo meno efficienti di quelli più vicini alla fonte di calore

che è la caldaia stessa.

Allora si opera sui detentori, meglio che non sulle manopole

d’ingresso ai termosifoni.

Regolare il detentore

In genere è il termosifone più vicino alla caldaia che deve essere

regolarizzato mediante la chiusura, non del tutto, del detentore.

Dopo averlo scoperto bisogna agire in senso orario per chiuderlo

un po’, come serve. Bastano delle prove. Ma inizialmente si può

agire moderatamente, mezzo giro, e passare agli altri caloriferi

nei pressi. Si può moderare con al stessa manopola

di plastica del termosifone, posta in alto, (il detentore, in genere,

è in basso). La suddetta manopola può essere tolta svitandola

con un normale cacciavite montata senza bisogno di avvitarla

nel detentore, in modo da lavorare comodamente.

Come agire

Dopo aver chiuso parzialmente i detentori dei termosifoni più

vicini alla caldaia si passa a controllare se quelli più lontani

ricevono calore meglio di prima, sempre con l’impianto in

funzione. Finché non si è soddisfatti del risultato. Quando

tutto appare in condizioni di uniformità, si possono ritappare i

detentori scoperti e riavvitare la manopola che è stata usata per

essi. Sempre con il cacciavite.

The radiators have not same temperature in each place. Some of

them look very hot, others seem to be nearly warm.

What could it depend on?

This can depend on the undone lockshielders regulation. These

ones are a kind of taps, placed on the out coming connections of

each radiator to the boiler. These taps have got a cap that can be

unscrewed by hands. Right on the bottom there is a slotted screw

similar to the incoming radiators valves one.

If the heating system is not correctly balanced, as to say that

connecting pipes have no suitable diameters to the boiler

distances or they are not the same kind in the whole net,

lockshield valves will have to be regulated following the single

ambient needs. Practically the boiler pumps the water out to the

heating system with same pressure, but the further radiators in

fact receive a lower pressure and also a lower hot water quantity,

and consequently they are less efficient than the other ones

closer to the furnace.

In this case it is much better operate on the lockshields rather

than on the input radiators valves.

To regulate the lockshield valve

Generally it is the closest radiator to the boiler that has to be

regulated by closing a little, not totally, the lockshield valve.

After taking off the cap, it has to be clockwise turned to close it

enough. You just need to test it. At the beginning you can move

only a half turn, then try to the other near radiators. It is possible

that this modulation can be made by the plastic top handle of the

radiator (lockshield valve is instead commonly at the bottom).

That handle can be taken off unscrewing it with a normal sonic,

without fixing it in the lockshield valve, in order to make action

more comfortable.

How to proceed

After partial closing of the radiator lockshields nearest the boiler,

you should check if the further ones become warmer with the

heating system working as before. All this has to continue till you

are not satisfied. As soon as everything seems to be balanced,

you can use the sonic to cover handle and lockshields again.
