The Aster coffee table, designed by Vincent Van
Duysen, is the ultimate expression of compositional
rationality and craftsmanship. A unique object made
entirely by hand, a contemporary work of art that
combines aesthetics and functionality. Each table
has a slightly different connotation, testifying to
its handcrafted nature. Its base features a brass
casting made with an earth mould that gives it
the sophisticated hammered effect. The ring is
mounted to the legs by welding. A vibratory finishing
technique completes the aesthetics. With the help
of stones, the structure is gently smoothed, giving
it a wavy effect. The top is made of annealed glass
with a thickness of 1.9 cm and features a slight ripple
in the lower area that adds personality. Again, the
manufacturing technique is extremely meticulous:
the sheet is placed in a mould with a textured bottom
and fused at 180° C, giving the glass its distinct finish.
Aster is available in two sizes: 50 cm in height with a
40 cm top in diameter, or 40 cm by 50 cm. Finishes
are available in polished brass or black patinated
brass, while the top can be customised in smoked
or green. The Aster coffee table is a piece with a
sculptural value, which can be used transversally
to collections and spaces.

l’espressione massima di razionalità compositiva e
di capacità artigianale. Un oggetto unico realizzato
totalmente a mano, un’opera d’arte contemporanea
che unisce estetica e funzionalità. Ogni tavolo ha una
connotazione leggermente diversa, a testimoniare la
sua natura artigianale. La base di Aster è caratterizzata
da una fusione d’ottone realizzata con uno stampo in
terra che le conferisce il sofisticato effetto martellato.
L’anello è assemblato alle gambe tramite saldatura.
La tecnica della vibrofinitura ne completa l’estetica.
Mediante l’ausilio di sassi, la struttura viene gentilmente
levigata, restituendo un effetto mosso. Il top è
costituito da un vetro ricotto dallo spessore di 1,9
cm e contraddistinto, nella parte inferiore, da una
leggera increspatura che dona personalità. Anche in
questo caso la tecnica di realizzazione è meticolosa:
la lastra viene collocata in uno stampo con un fondo
bugnato e fusa ad una temperatura di 180 gradi,
conferendo al vetro la sua tipica finitura. Aster è
disponibile in due misure: in altezza 50 cm con top
di diametro 40 cm e in altezza 40 cm e diametro
50 cm. Le finiture della struttura sono disponibili in
ottone lucido o in ottone patinato nero mentre il top
è personalizzabile in due colori – smoked o verde.
Il tavolino Aster è un elemento forgiato dal valore
scultoreo, che può essere utilizzato trasversalmente
alle collezioni e agli ambienti.
