Technique and quality

“Mangiarotti Collection” è costituita da 13

progetti realizzati seguendo attentamente

i disegni elaborati da Angelo Mangiarotti,

e basandosi sul rilievo e lo studio dei modelli

originariamente prodotti. I progetti realizzati

dal maestro dai primi anni Cinquanta in poi sono

stati approfonditamente analizzati dal punto di

vista tecnico e costruttivo, poi ulteriormente

verificati e riletti rispetto alle mutate necessità

d’uso dei nostri giorni, per adeguarsi agli attuali

standard qualitativi, di resistenza e di sicurezza

richiesti oggi. “Mangiarotti Collection” ripropone

fedelmente alcuni celebri progetti del Maestro

Mangiarotti, ora realizzati tenendo conto delle

necessità di una produzione più contemporanea,

introducendo piccole varianti costruttive ma

salvaguardando accuratamente gli aspetti

teorici, compositivi e formali di uno dei grandi

interpreti del Novecento. A ulteriore garanzia

di qualità, e nel solco del costante sforzo di

aggiornamento tecnologico che da sempre

contraddistingue la produzione di Agape,

“Mangiarotti Collection” è dotata inoltre di un

sistema di certificazione innovativo. Ogni

oggetto della collezione è infatti marchiato con

la firma del designer, mentre i mobili in marmo

e pietra hanno un tag elettronico attraverso il

quale è possibile risalire a tutti i loro dati e

caratteristiche, dal numero di serie al nome del

rivenditore e dello stesso cliente, dai materiali

alle tecnologie utilizzate per realizzarli.

Firma e tag rappresentano così vere e proprie

carte d’identità degli oggetti e ne certificano

l’assoluta originalità.

In queste pagine e nelle seguenti, le immagini

delle lavorazioni artigianali dei materiali: la

levigatura manuale, la smussatura degli incastri

del legno e degli elementi in pietra. Un passato

contemporaneo che attinge dall’arte e dalla

maestria italiana, rileggendola nel presente.

The “Mangiarotti Collection” consists of 13

projects carried out carefully following the

drawings of Angelo Mangiarotti, and based

on the reliefs and study of the original models.

The projects carried out by the maestro from

the early fifties onwards have been thoroughly

analyzed from the technical and constructive

point of view, then further checked and

re-interpreted to meet the changing needs of our

time and adapted to today’s current standards

of quality, strength and safety requirements.

The “Mangiarotti Collection” faithfully reproduces

some of Mangiarotti’s most famous projects, now

made taking into account the need for a more

contemporary production, introducing small

variations in construction but carefully preserving

the theoretical, compositional and formal aspects

of one of the great artists of the twentieth century.

As a further guarantee of quality and in line with

the ongoing effort to upgrade technology that

distinguishes Agape’s production, the

“Mangiarotti Collection” is also equipped with an

innovative system of certification. Each object in

the collection is branded with the signature of the

designer while the furniture in marble and stone

has an electronic tag. This makes it possible to

trace all relevant data and characteristics, from

serial number to dealer’s name and even

customer, and from the materials to the

technologies used in production. In this way

signature and tag certify the undiscussed

originality of the product.

These pages, pictures of how materials are

handcrafted: hand polishing, smoothing wooden

joints and stone elements. A very contemporary

past that draws on Italian art and craftsmanship

and brings them into the present.
