most people think of as the quintessential by Lassen design object.

When Søren Lassen began producing his grandfather’s, Mogens

Lassen, candleholders in 1994, he chose this classic fine, matte

surface texture to make the graphic, austere lines stand out. Since

the candleholder was first made by local artisans in Denmark the

collection has extended and every single item in the series now

comes in black - because black is always in vogue.
