When architects, local authorities and electricians all over the

world choose lighting for urban spaces, there are many different

requirements and expectations to be met. The lights must provide

a sense of security, be robust and have the right aesthetic expres-

sion. At the same time, they must to an increasing extent meet the

desire for efficient and direct lighting that exploits the LED light

source’s full potential.

Over the years, Louis Poulsen has created numerous outdoor

lighting solutions. We are now proud to present yet another

luminaire for parks and paths, the LP Capsule, which has been

designed in collaboration with Henning Larsen. The luminaire

incorporates our well-known principles for pleasant atmospheric

illumination in a modern LED lamp, and sets new standards for

outdoor lighting.
