When the spaces and objects we interact with
are honest and straightforward in function, design
and materials, they give more value which is why
we believe in buying less and buying better.
Being mindful of consumption has become
part of a wider global movement but has been
embedded in our DNA since the beginning. Good
design puts people at the centre, benefitting the
user, the environment and the maker, creating a
cycle of wellbeing.
Natural materials’ ability to work with time rather
than against it is evident in well-crafted design
that ages beautifully, rather than showing
increasingly unflattering signs of use.
At VOLA, we craft our products with the aim that
they will last for generations; that is why we ensure
the flexibility and high standards of the internal
parts for each product we make. This allows the
user to update or repair their product instead of
replacing it entirely. This is our most important
responsibility in encouraging mindful consumption.
