Laufen CZ works with the ceramic design students from the University of West Bohemia of Plzeň and from the Arts and Crafts
College of Prague on a number of various projects. The task of the thesis for the students of Maxim Velčovský’s studio of the Arts
and Crafts College had the following wording: “Past - Present - Future”.
The Džber (Tub) washbasin is the very
first product resulting from the JIKA ART project. The objective of the JIKA ART project is to
bring art to today’s ordinary bathrooms while providing opportunities to young designers. The washbasin, showcasing a strong
époque inspiration, was designed by Barbora Vinařová.
Džber is a countertop washbasin. It will shine on wooden surfaces designed for bathroom interiors, as well as on ceramic and other
surfaces. The diameter of its bottom part is 41 cm, with a diameter of 46 cm at the top and a height of 20 cm; washbasin height is
increased by the 10 cm handle (that can be used as a towel hanger). The Džber washbasin is produced in a limited edition.
