GRAND PRIXTM

Arne Jacobsen, 1957

The Grand PrixTM Chair is a chair with graphic edge.

It was introduced at the Designers’ Spring Exhibition

at the Danish Museum of Art & Design in 1957. Later

that year, the chair was displayed at the Triennale

in Milan where it received the Grand Prix, the finest

distinction of the exhibition. The celebrated chair

comes in both a steel or wood base.

Shell: Coloured ash, lacquered and natural veneer

(oak and walnut) or front- and fully upholstered in

textile and leather.

Base: Chromed and powder coated steel

or wooden legs.

Grand PrixTM is stackable up to 5 chairs

(Model 3130). See the back of the brochure

for detailed dimensions.

Grand PrixTM (Model 3130) in oak and walnut and

painted shells is PEFC certified. At the moment,

Model 4130 with wooden legs is not PEFC certified.

PEFCTM certification ensures wood is from forests

that are managed with respect for sustainable,

social and ethical standards.
