come un nido, un rifugio dal grigiore...”

Carta. Pensieri. Parole. Attesa. Un rituale che molti di noi

hanno dimenticato, quello della scrittura. Perché quando

le parole erano un oggetto di carta e inchiostro, per poterle

leggere si dovevano aspettare i lunghi tempi di una corrispon-

denza. A questo rituale, romantico e affascinante, Dimore

Studio ha voluto dedicare la sua ultima creazione.

Corrispondenza è una collezione di piastrelle per pavimenti

e rivestimenti d’interni, in grès bianco smaltato e decorato

a mano da Ceramica Bardelli. L’ispirazione per il progetto

nasce da una raccolta di vecchie lettere, piegate, ingiallite e

conservate come tanti piccoli origami del passato.

Il segno grafico di Corrispondenza nasce da quei piccoli gesti

quotidiani che hanno permesso a quelle storie di arrivare fino

a noi. È un segno quasi abbozzato, imperfetto. Autentico,

come le emozioni che trasparivano dalle parole scritte, affida-

te al tempo e alla distanza. Corrispondenza è un caleidoscopio

di toni morbidi, sapientemente mescolati tra loro a compor-

re tanti piccoli aeroplanini di carta, a cui sono stati affidati at-

mosfere, mondi, sogni. Colori freddi che abbracciano colori

caldi e che si tuffano in tonalità polverose e vivaci.

E poi ci sono le mani. Le mani di Ceramica Bardelli che di-

pingono ogni singola piastrella, trasformandola in un ogget-

to unico. Le mani di chi poserà Corrispondenza, scegliendo il

suo modo unico e personale di orientare e comporre il segno

grafico che contraddistingue la collezione. Le mani di chi ac-

carezzerà le piastrelle, e percepirà la texture ruvida del colore

pennellato a mano che si mescola con la morbidezza della

ceramica.

Paper. Thoughts. Words. Wait. A ritual that many of us have

now forgotten, the art of writing. When words constituted

paper and ink, we had to wait a long time to read them. Di-

more Studio has subsequently decided to dedicate its latest

creation to this romantic and compelling ritual.

Corrispondenza is a collection of tiles for use on the floors

and walls of interiors, made from white glazed stoneware and

hand decorated by Ceramica Bardelli. The project was in-

spired by a collection of old, folded and yellowed letters that

had been preserved like origami artworks from times gone by.

The graphics for the Corrispondenza collection are born of

the small daily gestures that enabled those stories to reach us.

An almost drafted and imperfect design, authentic like the

emotions that transpired from the written words, entrusted

to time and distance. Corrispondenza is a kaleidoscope of

soft tones, expertly combined to compose countless small

paper aeroplanes to which atmospheres, worlds and dreams

have been associated. Cool hues that embrace warm tones

and delve into both dusty and bold colour palettes.

And then we have the hands: the Ceramica Bardelli hands

that paint each and every single tile, transforming them into

one-of-a-kind objects. The hands of those who will lay Cor-

rispondenza, choosing their own unique and personal way of

orienting and composing the graphics that distinguish the

collection. The hands of those who will touch the tiles and

feel the rough texture of the hand painted colour that seam-

lessly blends with the smoothness of the ceramic.
