Surface with gel coating

To provide optimal solutions for your washroom across the range,

our washbasins with gel coating feature a variety of fronts,

forms, surfaces and finishes: with a slate structure or smooth,

with straight or rounded basin edges, centred or offset basins as

well as with integral towel rail. Available in White matt, Anthracite

matt, White gloss or RAL Classic colours. Our CONTI+ washbasins

can be adapted to meet all customer requirements.

CONTI+ mineral-cast washbasins (White matt or gloss) are

pleasantly warm to the touch. Washbasins made of mineral

composite material are cast in one piece and are individually

manufactured to customer requirements (on request with bevel

cuts, recesses, drilled holes, etc.).

Surface without gel coating

CONTI+ washbasins made of mineral composite material have

no surface layer. This homogeneous material with a matt

surface is pleasantly warm to the touch. The washbasins are

cast in one piece and are individually manufactured to customer

requirements (including bevel cuts, recesses, drilled holes, etc.).

Cleaning and care

With gel coating

Clean the glossy, non-porous surface with standard, NON-

abrasive liquid cleaners and a soft cloth. Cigarette stains or nail

polish can be removed from the gloss surface using polishing

paste or nail polish remover as appropriate.

Without gel coating

Clean the matt surface with standard abrasive cleaners (cream

cleaner, yellow-green sponge, micro

fibre cloth, etc.). Cigarette

stains or nail polish can be removed using wet sandpaper; clean

with cleaning pads or an equivalent product.

Stainless steel products

Many of the SteelTec products are partially or completely cov-

ered in plastic film. This film provides protection during trans-

portation but must be removed from the product before use.

SteelTec products made of AISI 304 stainless steel must be

cleaned regularly to maintain their original quality. Use cleaning

products and clear water to do this after use. Rinse with clear

water and wipe dry. Also clean any loose parts such as the drain

guard. Do not allow water to dry on the product.

Although stainless steel is very hard-wearing, sharp objects may

scratch the surface. Such scratches are highly visible on a new

product. Over time they will become fainter without the prod-

uct losing its shine.

Never use scouring powder or steel wool to clean the surface.

As well as causing scratches, there is a risk of rusting. Do not

use chlorinated solvents. Silver cleaners can leave very tough

stains. Foods containing acids or similar must be removed as

soon as possible. Discolouration and tough stains are often

caused by contaminated water or other substances. These can

be removed using a special stainless steel polish. Shine can be

restored to dull areas by rubbing in chalk with a soft cloth.

General:

Remove protective film only before the final cleaning.

The temperature of service water must not exceed 55 °C

(80 °C momentarily).

To avoid staining, hair dye must be removed within a matter

of seconds if it comes into contact with the surfaces.
