Designer: Arne Jacobsen
Munkegaard is one of Arne Jacobsen’s design icons, and was the first
recessed fixture which illuminated the ceiling, thereby evening out
contrasts. The light forms a ring around the fixture, thus including the
surrounding ceiling surface in the room’s dimensions. Munkegaard has
a discreet presence, very much in line with Jacobsen’s architectural
approach.
